Smuggler’s House Hooch and Hash (SHHH)

I was given the opportunity to create a speakeasy bar that will be opening on Freemont. I started by heavily researching about speakeasy. Speakeasies were underground bars in 1960 that would sell alcohol illegally. I found that one-way bars could get around this was by getting an exotic animal and charge people to see the attraction in which they would get complimentary drinks. I took this idea and decided on featuring neon creatures that glow in blacklight as my exotic attraction. I then created drinks with old speakeasy slang as well as food. I wanted to keep the bar and the staff itself frozen in time and I used a rich color pallet for mood. I also played with my bar name and created the Smuggler’s House Hooch and Hash. This would allow my initials to spell out SHHH.
